Updated regulations for 2010
The Swedish Touring Car Championship organization has released updated regulations ahead of the 2010 season. There are no extraordinary changes to the regulations, but TouringCarTimes.com will guide you through the new stuff.
The friday roll out has been removed and has been replaced with a saturday 45 minute test session.
Other than that, the race weekend setup remains the same with one Q1 qualifying session for all, one Q2 qualifying session for top eight and two races of 25 minutes a piece.
The start procedure has been changed. The driver on pole position determines the speed of the field (rolling start) and no passing is allowed ahead of the start and finish line.
We have reported about the two biggest changes in previous articles, the change to the WTCC penalty weight system and the increase of demanded life length of turbo engines from two races to four.
