Rickard Rydell tops final STCC warm up of 2011

Pole position man Rickard Rydell topped the morning warm up session and was the sole driver to get below the 1:22 mark around Mantorp Park. Volvo WTCC driver Robert Dahlgren was closest to Rydell, just 0.038 seconds behind.

Johan Kristoffersson, who is going to start second in the first race today, was third fastest, 0.080 seconds adrift.

Thed Björk headed title candidate Tommy Rustad, who is going to have a tough job from 11th on the grid, in fourth and fifth.

Richard Göransson was once again best BMW driver in sixth ahead of manufacturer colleague Jan “Flash” Nilsson.

Michel Nykjaer and Patrik Olsson was eighth and ninth ahead of championship leader Fredrik Ekblom.

The first race of the day starts at 13.05 CET with the second and final race of 2011 starting at 15.35.
