Video: Emma Kimiläinen will miss Mantorp races after Skövde crash

Emma Kimiläinen will miss the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship races at Mantorp Park due to the crash in the Skövde season opener.

”I feels incredibly sad to miss the Mantorp races, I looked forward to get revenge after the nightmare start in Skövde,” said Kimiläinen.

The Finnish driver was involved in crashes of both races at the Skövde airport circuit, but with the second crash, see video below, in the second race meaning too much damage to the chassis for team SEAT Dealer Team PWR Racing to repair ahead of Mantorp Park.

”This is racing some times and keeping in mind that I have had problems with headache and spasms in my neck muscles, it might be good for me to get a longer rehabilitation period. I am aiming to be back for the third race at Anderstorp where I scored a podium last year,” said Kimiläinen.

SEAT Dealer Team PWR Racing had handling and reliability problems for all three cars during the season opener, but with Johan Kristoffersson still claiming two top five finishes.
