Robin Fredriksson replaces Dennis Strandberg at Lestrup Racing

Robin Fredriksson is temporarily going to replace Dennis Strandberg at Lestrup Racing for the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship races at Karlskoga this weekend.

”I haven’t got any big expectations for this weekend. The opposition is tough and to jump in during the middle of the season is difficult. My main goal is a problem-free weekend,” said Fredriksson.

Fredriksson has driven Formula Renault previously and raced for the team in the Silverstone 24 Hours earlier this year.

”The team is great and I would not like to change it for any other. This enables me to hope for a good weekend on my home circuit and a good shot on making it to the STCC next year which is my ultimate goal,” said Fredriksson.

The team has not stated why Strandberg is not racing but that they are working to have him back for Anderstorp.

”Unfortunately Dennis was not able to race this weekend and we will of course miss him,” said team manager Fredrik Lestrup. ”We are working hard with him to have him back in the car for Anderstorp. We are happy that Robin was able to jump in instead, we know that we have a competent replacement with him.”
