Dan Lloyd sets the early warm up pace at Croft

WestCoast Racing’s Dan Lloyd set the fastest time in the first warm up session of the weekend at Croft, heading Ollie Taylor’s Pyro Motorsport Honda Civic Type R FK8 by seven-tenths of a second.

Taylor was top of the times for most of the 50-minute session – which was extended following a delay to Friday’s private test – before Lloyd struck late with a time of 1:25.654.

Lloyd completed 16 laps of the Yorkshire circuit and set his fastest time on his final tour.

Lloyd’s WestCoast team-mate Jessica Bäckman ended the session third fastest in her Volkswagen Golf GTI, while brother Andreas – this weekend running Sean Walkinshaw Racing’s Honda Civic Type R FK2 – was fourth quickest.

Lewis Kent (Essex and Kent Hyundai i30 N TCR) and Stewart Lines (Maximum Motorsport Cupra TCR) were fifth and sixth respectively.

Darelle Wilson managed just four laps in his Vauxhall Astra TCR, setting a best time of 1:34.447, while Verizon Connect Racing’s Finlay Crocker only completed two laps in his Civic Type R FK8.

Missing from the session, and the weekend following his withdrawal, was Derek Palmer Jr in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR.

The next warm up session is scheduled to take place at 11:30 BST.
