WestCoast Racing and MA:GP withdraw “exhaust gate” protest

WestCoast Racing and the MA:GP Honda team have withdrawn their protest against the decision to reinstate the results of PWR Racing at the STCC races at Gelleråsen Arena.

PWR Racing had four cars disqualified from the two races at Gelleråsen Arena as scrutineers deemed their exhaust configuration illegal.

The team appealed the decision and had their result reinstated by the disciplinary board of the Swedish Motorsport Federation (SBF).

WestCoast Racing and MA:GP decided to appeal the reinstatement to the juridicial committee of SBF, but today announced that they have withdrawn that appeal.

This means that the current results of the 2018 STCC season stand and there is no further possibility for teams to appeal any of the results or decisions from the past season.
