Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky keen to continue with PWR for 2019

Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky became the first female STCC winner earlier this year but is without a contract for 2019. The 25-year-old is however keen to continue with PWR Racing in the STCC next year.

“I have actually nothing done yet, but it is no secret that I want to continue with my team and in this championship next year,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky to Sveriges Radio.

Part in securing a drive for Åhlin-Kottulinsky is to secure a budget that she states is around €240,000 for a full season in the Scandinavian championship.

“There is a lot of work to get the budget together. The budget is around 2.5 million (SEK) for a season,” said Åhlin-Kottulinsky.

Åhlin-Kottulinsky finished tenth overall in the 2018 STCC with her victory at Karlskoga as the top result.
