Garry Rogers Motorsport add a pair of Renaults to 2019 campaign

Garry Rogers Motorsport will add a pair of Renault Mégane RS TCR race cars to their campaign in the 2019 TCR Australia series season alongside their pair of Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR race cars.

“We had a look at what vehicles were available and see what would suit us. We purchased two Alfas and we’ve now purchased two Renault Méganes as well,” said team owner Garry Rogers.

“For us, the Renault Mégane is a great vehicle of choice. It’s a trendy car, and the results that we’ve seen so far in testing is that it is fast and it is very competitive.

The team has confirmed one driver so far, Jimmy Vernon in one of the Alfa Romeos, with the remaining three drivers to be revealed “in the coming weeks”.

“Now, we need to make sure that we have the right drivers and the right people preparing them to get the best results,” said Rogers.

The team will take delivery of the Team Vuković Motorsport-built Renaults next month ahead of the season opener at Sydney Motorsport Park on May 17-19th.
