Nathan Morcom inks HMO Customer Racing deal

Nathan Morcom has signed a deal with HMO Customer Racing to drive in the inaugural TCR Australia series season.

“It’s a great feeling to be part of the first outfit to race in the new TCR Australia. The team is looking really good,” said Morcom.

The former Dunlop Super2 Series and Australian Endurance Championship driver will drive one of the team’s two Hyundai i30 TCR race cars alongside a yet to be announced team-mate.

Morcom got a first taste of his new race car during the Ultimate Speed Comparison at the F1 Australian Grand Prix and a test day at Sydney Motorsport Park.

“It’s great to have the two cars here in Australia already; this provides a great platform for our engineers to prepare them properly leading into Round 1. The test session went well at Sydney Motorsport Park. It provided a further insight into the habits of the car, and it was pleasing to see what we put in place was running nicely within the Hyundai set up,” said Morcom.
