Molly Taylor secures Castrol backing for Sydney

Molly Taylor will join fellow Kelly Racing driver Alex Rullo in running under the Castrol Racing banner for the TCR Australia season opener in Sydney.

Whilst Rullo’s agreement covers the full seven round season, the agreement with Taylor is currently for the first race of the year.

The Australian Rally Championship front-runner will be making embarking on her first full programme of circuit racing at the wheel of a Subaru WRX STI TCR and said she was delighted to welcome Castrol for round one.

The reveal of the Subaru came at Winton Raceway, where Taylor tested the car ahead of this weekend’s opening round.

“It’s fantastic to have Castrol onboard and supporting me in my first circuit race this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park for the first TCR Australia race,” she said. “Kelly Racing have a long history with Castrol so it’s really positive to have them come into TCR with myself and Alex as well. It’s great to have another strong brand in TCR and hopefully we’ll do them proud.

“I’m really glad to have been given the opportunity to continue developing my circuit racing skills at Winton Raceway for my second test day with the team. There was a lot to take onboard after the first one, and it’s been great to continue the learning curve today.”
