Two ex-Kristoffersson Motorsport Volkswagens entered for TCR Denmark

Rene Povlsen and Allan Kristensen has bought two Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR race cars from multiple STCC champions Kristoffersson Motorsport for the inaugural TCR Denmark series season.

The duo raced a pair of SEATs in Yokohama SuperCup Denmark this year, with Povlsen and Kristensen finishing first and second overall.

Povlsen and Kristensen took part in a TCR Denmark information meeting held in Middelfart last week, along with 60 other drivers and team representatives.

“It’s really good for Danish motorsport that the promoter Martin Jensen has succeeded in convincing DASU (the Danish motorsport federation) that TCR is the future for Danish racing, although the acceptance came a bit late,” said Kristensen to vildmedbiler.dk.

“Martin and his partners in TCR Denmark has provided us with an overview on what the cost of taking part in this category will be and it looks reasonable.”

The duo makes it six confirmed entries for the 2020 TCR Denmark season alongside Massive Motorsport and LM Racing.
