Second Peugeot headed to Garry Rogers Motorsport

Garry Rogers Motorsport will take delivery of a second Peugeot 308TCR next week ahead of the 2020 TCR Australia series season.

“It arrives in the country next week. I think it docks on Monday or Tuesday, so we’ll say 10 days after that, once it docks,” said team manager Barry Rogers to speedcafe.com.

Jason Bargwanna was confirmed in December for the team’s first Peugeot while the team is yet to confirm details regarding driver for the second Peugeot.

GRM has got a total of seven TCR cars with two Peugeots, three Renaults and two Alfa Romeos.

The team is however not planning to run all three Renaults in TCR Australia, but are not ruling out to run it in selected races for an international driver.

“Renault is very important here in Australia so I think that it might be a good marketing opportunity to send a factory driver over here at some point,” said Rogers.

“There’s nothing that’s been put away with that at this stage but if that happened, yeah I would support that. That would be a factory supported effort through GRM.”
