Michael Clemente unveils livery for 2020 campaign

Michael Clemente has unveiled the livery for his 2020 TCR Australia series campaign where he will drive a Honda Civic Type-R FK8 TCR.

“I couldn’t be happier. The black, the white and the floro orange has all come together really nicely,” said Clemente.

The 18-year-old is going to field the car through his own privateer team Michael Clemente Motorsport Honda.

“We have some expectations for the end of the year, but for the first couple rounds, we need to settle in and find our feet,” he said.

“We won’t be going for wins and podiums at the start. I’m sure we’ll get there in the end, but there will be lots to learn and it will take some time,” said Clemente.

Next up for the Honda driver is the official pre-season test at Winton on February 26, followed by the TCR Asia Pacific Cup race during the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix.

“It’s (Melbourne) a new track for me, so it will be something different. We are up for the challenge on a fast flowing circuit in front of a lot of people, so it’s going to be awesome,” said Clemente.
