Covers taken off Lachlan Mineeff’s car ahead of TCR Australia debut
TCR Australia debutant Lachlan Mineeff has revealed the colours he will run in his first event at Phillip Island this weekend, competing in a Melbourne Performance Centre prepared VW Golf GTI TCR.
Backing will come from Truck Dealers Australia, AutoInstruct and VAGParts Australia, all throwing their support behind the 18-year-old who makes his first race start in over a year after being unable to compete in 2020.
Though he has never raced in the category, Mineeff believes having the support of a few large companies and the MPC team will put him in good stead to make progress throughout the round.
“I’m super excited to be able to announce a new group of partners onto our campaign for the Phillip Island TCR Australia round,” he said.
“Without having even hit the circuit, all of the sponsors have said that TCR is a great platform to work with, and we are super excited to welcome them all onboard.”
Practice on Friday the 12th will be followed by qualifying and race one on Saturday with races two and three rounding out the weekend on Sunday.
