TCR Denmark champions Massive Motorsport closes its doors

2020 and 2021 TCR Denmark champion team Massive Motorsport today announced it will close its doors and not take part in the upcoming season.

“Thanks for this time! We have won everything that we have entered for the past four seasons. A huge thank you to the many good people who have been part of Massive Motorsport throughout the years and not least the fantastic sponsors and organisations who have supported us along the way,” read a statement from the team, without specifying the reason behind the closure.

The team has claimed the drivers’ and teams’ titles of the first two TCR Denmark seasons with driver Kasper Jensen at the helm.

Last year saw Jensen claiming the title by a massive 44 points over Michael Markussen, with team-mate Kenn Bach finishing eighth overall.

“A big thank you from us at TCR Denmark to the whole team behind Massive Motorsport for the great support and trust they have shown us in a difficult start-up phase characterized by the Covid-19 pandemic,” said TCR Denmark promoter Martin Jensen.

Jensen has joined GMB Motorsport for the 2022 season while Bach is going to join LM Racing.
