SP Compétition duo join Vallelunga entry

SP Compétition will compete in the third round of the TCR World Tour at Vallelunga next month after confirming a two-car entry into the event.

Whilst the opening two rounds of the new season have run alongside TCR Europe, the event at Vallelunga will be a special festival meeting that will see the TCR World Tour drivers go up against a number of cars from TCR Italy – with up to 18 Italian regulars set to take part.

SP Compétition will run regular drivers Aurélien Comte and Sylvain Pussier in the event, with the French duo at the wheel of the Cupra Leon Competición cars they are running as part of their main programmes this year.

Comte currently sits fifth in the TCR Italy standings having scored a first podium of the year at Misano, whilst Pussier scored his first points finish of the campaign in the same event.

The weekend will mark a return to international competition for both drivers, with Comte having been a race winner in WTCR and Pussier having run a full season in TCR Europe back in 2021.
