Third STCC model revealed as covers come off BMW i4

The third model that will compete in the 2024 STCC season has been revealed after the covers came off the first BMW i4 that will be campaigned by Exion Racing.

The Tesla Model 3 and Cupra Born had already been unveiled, which leaves the Volkswagen ID.3 as the only car still to be shown off physically ahead of the inaugural season under electric power.

As with the other models on the grid, the BMW has been built up for competition by EPWR and features a 550hp electric powertrain and a lack of electronic aids geared towards providing spectacular and sustainable racing.

“We showed you the Tesla Model 3 and Cupra Born earlier this year and now we are very proud to be able to present the BMW i4 as another piece of the puzzle for STCC 2024,” Micke Bern, CEO of the STCC, said.

The livery of the car will be revealed by the Exion Racing team in the spring ahead of pre-season testing and the start of competition in Gothenburg in June.

“We are proud to deliver the first BMW i4 race car to the STCC ahead of their ground-breaking 2024 season as we continue to push for a sustainable and exciting motorsport future together,” said Micke Jansson, CEO of EPWR.
