TCR Australia grid drops to 13 cars for Symmons Plains

The TCR Australia grid will drop from 15 to 13 cars for this weekend’s races at Symmons Plains, but the organisers are confident the grid will grow again.

“Having an extremely competitive field, any of our 13 drivers are capable of winning this weekend,” said category manager Lisa Totani to speedcafe.com.

“With strong TV figures from Sandown, interest in TCR is steadily building and I wouldn’t be discouraged by grid numbers this weekend, but I’m confident of a return to at least 15 cars for Phillip Island.”

Absent from this weekend’s races are Marcus La Darelle (99 Motorsport) and Iain McDouball (Challenge Motorsport).
