Ignacio Montenegro put his GOAT Racing Honda on top in the first free practice session of the FIA TCR World Tour weekend at Monza.

Aurélien Comte made it three different makes in the top three with his Cupra of SP Compétition, 0.217 seconds from Montenegro.

Reigning champion Norbert Michelisz claimed fourth, close to half a second from the top time, while Santiago Urrutia was the fastest Lynk & Co Cyan Racing driver in fifth place, almost eight tenths from Montenegro’s time.

Néstor Girolami, who claimed his first win of 2025 at Valencia last weekend, was sixth fastest ahead of Cyan Racing driver Thed Björk, who runs without compensation weight this weekend.

Ma Qing Hua, John Filippi and guest entry Jacopo Cimenes rounded off the top ten.
