Mikel Azcona hit with grid penalty following engine change
BRC Hyundai has been forced to change the engine in Mikel Azcona’s Hyundai Elantra N TCR ahead of the second FIA TCR World Tour race at Monza which means the Spaniard has been hit with a grid penalty.
Azcona was supposed to have started from ninth place on the reversed grid for Race 2 but will instead start 18th and last.
The Hyundai driver finished tenth in the first race after suffering a puncture while in second place which forced him to pit for a quick tyre change.
The second and final race of the weekend at Monza starts at 11:40 CEST.
