Jason Zhang and Zhang Zhen Dong wins at Zhejiang

Jason Zhang and Zhang Zhen Dong won one race each as the TCR China season visited Zhejiang for the third round of the 2025 season.

Lynk & Co driver Jason Zhang was fastest in qualifying but had to start from sixth following an engine change penalty of five positions.

Instead it was Zhang Zhen Dong who started from pole and the Hyundai driver claimed the lead as the lights went out.

Zhang Zhen Dong fought for the lead with Paul Poon in the first part of the race until the safety car was called into action on the fifth lap following an incident between Zhao Di and Tang Zi Hao.

Disaster struck Z.Speed Hyundai driver Zhang Zhen Dong as his hood came loose on lap ten, forcing him to pit, handing the lead to a recovering Jason Zhang.

The race was however red flagged soon after due to a multi-car incident which saw Fredrick Lee Fu Kwans, Lin Zhi Shan and Gao Ya Ou retiring from the race.

The race was restarted but finished under safety car conditions due to another incident further down the pack.

Jason Zhang won the race ahead of Zhang Zhen Dong and David Zhu.

The second race had André Couto of MacPro Racing Honda starting from pole ahead of Wu Yi Fan.

The duo collided at Turn 1 on the first lap, with Couto retiring from the race while Wu Yi Fan dropped down to finish 21st. This handed the lead to Li Guang Hua.

The safety car headed back in as Couto’s car had been recovered by lap seven.

As the race resumed, Zhang Zhen Dong was quick to snatch the lead from Li who continued to drop down to finish sixth.

Teamwork Motorsport driver Jason Zhang got past Li for second place soon after Zhang Zhen Dong and harrowed the Hyundai driver for the lead until the end of the race.

The two made contact several times in the fight for the lead, but Zhang Zhen Dong was able to cling onto the lead to win by just four tenths of a second over Jason Zhang.

David Zhu made it two Lynk & Cos in the top three by claiming the final podium position.

Zhang Zhen Dong heads the standings on 244 points, 24 points more than Jason Zhang and 28 points more than David Zhu.

The next location of the next TCR China race is yet to be confirmed, but will be held at either Daqing or Ordos on September 5-7.
