2026 FIA TCR World Tour calendar to maintain same structure
WSC president Marcello Lotti has confirmed that the 2026 FIA TCR World Tour calendar will maintain a similar structure to the current season, with eight to ten race weekend planned across four continents.
“We have to give the first draft to the FIA in July,” Lotti said to TouringCarTimes.
“We are working with Mexico to confirm to be on the calendar again. We are also working to probably have another event in America, we will know something in two weeks’ time, but the idea is to eventually include another one.”
The series would then move to Europe with three or four race weekends.
“We want to keep at least three events in Europe,” said Lotti.
“We are discussing with Vila Real, personally speaking I love Spain, but we probably have to work with our local shareholder to increase attendance to the event. But I think Spain is a good country to go, although we have to confirm where.”
The plan is also to keep an unchanged Asian leg of the championship in 2026 with four events on the line.
“After that we want to keep Australia and Korea, that we have discussed for three years’ time, followed by China and Macau,” said Lotti added.
“So we are looking to repeating the Asian leg.”
More details will be made available after the draft has been submitted to the FIA, with the next FIA World Motor Sport Council taking place in October in Texas.
