TCR South America set for bumper 2026 entry

The organisers of TCR American have revealed plans for a 26 car entry for the 2026 season before the current campaign has even drawn to a close.

According to a statement issued by the organisers, a number of changes are expected across the field, which will include factory backing for one team and the introduction of a new car.

The Honda YPF Racing team is expected to expand its programme to run no fewer that five Honda Civic Type R models having fielded three this season, with Paladini Racing running a quartet of Lynk & Co 03 models.

W2 Pro GP will expand its entry with CUPRA to run three Leon VZ models with CUPRA also being represented by G Racing.

Cobra Racing will bring the latest version of the Audi RS 3 LMS to the series with two cars, whilst PMO Racing will switch to Hyundai with a four-car programme featuring the Hyundai Elantra.

Porthack Racing is also set to run a multi-car programme with an as-yet unnamed model, whilst it is expected that the Peugeot 308 TCRs previously campaigned by PMO Racing will feature on the grid.

The full line-up for 2026 will be revealed in due course.
