GOAT Racing announces TCR World Tour departure
GOAT Racing has announced that it will leave the FIA TCR World Tour and instead focus on GT racing in the Ferrari Challenge and “selected GT Cup competitions”.
“After competing at the highest level of the FIA TCR World Tour during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the team now turns the page toward an exciting new era. From this point forward, GOAT Racing will focus its racing activities on the Ferrari Challenge and selected GT Cup competitions,” read a statement from the team.
The team has fielded Hondas in the FIA TCR World Tour during the past two seasons, clinching the runner-up spot in the teams’ standings and third overall in the drivers’ standings with Esteban Guerrieri last year.
There is so far no confirmation on whether another team will field Hondas in the 2026 FIA TCR World Tour season which so far only has official entry confirmation from Geely Cyan Racing.
”We are discussing our options,” a JAS Motorsport, builders of the Honda TCR race cars, spokesperson told TouringCarTimes.
