Leonel Pernía, Nelson Piquet lead Honda challenge

Honda Brazil and Honda Argentina will join forces to back a two-car programme in TCR South America this season.

The support of the two national Honda operations is reflected in the driver line-up, which sees two of the leading racers from 2025 once again join forces.

Leonel Pernía returns as the reigning TCR South America champion at the wheel of one of the Honda Civic Type Rs being run by the team, with Nelson Piquet Jr – who won TCR Brazil last season – in the sister car.

The pair combined to share ten wins last season as they took first and second in the standings.

The programme will run under the Honda Racing banner.
