17 cars entered for 2026 TCR UK season opener
17 cars have been entered for the 2026 TCR UK season opener which kicks off at Brands Hatch this weekend.
Last year’s runner-up Callum Newsham is back for 2026, racing the Hyundai Elantra N TCR that he switched to for the last two rounds of 2025.
Brad Hutchison, who finished fourth overall last year, will continue to race Cupra, but has switched to the newer León VZ TCR model for 2026.
The Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR is the most common model of the 2026 TCR UK season with no less than five cars of the Japanese manufacturer on the grid.
Two-time champion Carl Boardley returns for this season with the new DTR Honda team where he will race alongside former BTCC racer Harry Bloor.
Two further returnees are Max Hall and Max Hart who will race a pair of Hondas for ALM with Halls Motorsport.
The fifth and most recently announced Honda entry is that of Jenson O’Neill-Going at Power Maxed Racing.
2020 and 2021 TCR UK champion Lewis Kent will race the sole Lynk & Co 03 TCR of the field for SVG Motorsport.
Four Audis will be represented on the grid by Jac Constable, Barry-John McHenry, Russell Joyce and Jenson Mason.
The 2026 season opener weekend will start with qualifying at 11:10 local time/12:10 CEST and Race 1 at 14:55 on Saturday. Sunday will feature Race 2 and 3 at 10:10 and 15:45 respectively.
