Jean-Karl Vernay and Esteban Guerrieri joins 19-car FIA TCR World Tour entry list
19 cars have been entered for the 2026 FIA TCR World Tour season opener at Misano in Italy, with the latest entries including Jean-Karl Vernay and Esteban Guerrieri.
Vernay is going to race a Cupra for SP Compétition alongside Aurélien Comte who finished seventh overall for the team last season.
Vernay’s last world touring car season was in 2021 when he finished third overall for Engstler Hyundai in the FIA WTCR and second overall in the Pure ETCR for Hyundai Motorsport.
Guerrieri, who finished third overall last year, continues to race a Honda for GOAT Racing.
There is so far no confirmation on whether Vernay and Guerrieri will race full season.
TCR Europe front-runner Gabriele Covini joins BRC Hyundai for Misano, racing a Hyundai Elantra N TCR alongside already confirmed drivers Mikel Azcona and Norbert Michelisz.
Local teams Trico WRT (Hyundai) and MM Motorsport (Honda) have entered one car each for Damiano Reduzzi and Ramiro Zago respectively, with the latter currently racing in TCR Italy.
JSB Compétition has entered two Hyundais for Frenchmen Julien Briché and Raphäel Fournier.
TCR UK team Vannin Motorsport has entered the sole Audi of the series for a yet to be confirmed driver.
The FIA TCR World Tour opener takes place at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy on May 8-10.
