Adam Morgan: “The car is an absolute joy to drive”

Adam Morgan admitted his Mercedes-AMG A35 Saloon was a joy to drive at Donington Park today after snaring a second successive pole position in the British Touring Car Championship.

The CPRL driver proved to be the driver to beat around the Leicestershire venue as he firstly set the fastest time in qualifying, before then converting it into a commanding lights-to-flag victory in the ‘Race To Pole’.

“I absolutely love driving and racing cars, especially in this championship. And when the car is performing like this it makes everything so much sweeter.

“I think I’ve been in the BTCC for something like 15 years and I’ve now doubled the amount of pole positions I’ve had in the space of just three weeks.

“The car is an absolute joy to drive at the moment. It’s giving me so much confidence and I’m absolutely making it do what I want. Of course we are maximising the fact that we’ve got the a large allocation of TOCA Turbo Boost, but we have to given our position in the championship.

“We’ve still got some work to do so we will get our heads down tonight and see what we can convert it into tomorrow.”
