Dan Cammish inherits race three win after Ricky Collard penalty
Dan Cammish has been declared the winner of Round 30 of the British Touring Car Championship after Ricky Collard was handed a post-race penalty.
The EXCELR8 driver took victory on the road but was later handed a five-second time penalty for breaching the safety car restart procedure.
Collard and the team appealed the decision however the penalty was upheld by stewards.
That penalty not means Collard’s wait for a maiden BTCC win continues with Alliance Racing’s Cammish promoted to first place.
Newly crowned five-time Ash Sutton jumped up to second with Dexter Patterson completing the podium in third. Collard meanwhile is now classified eighth.
