Bumper field set for Macau Guia Race

Organisers of the Macau Grand Prix have revealed a bumper entry of 30 cars for the Macau Guia Race, which will act at the final event on the TCR World Tour schedule.

The field included a number of international additions alongside the TCR World Tour regulars, with a selection of local drivers also taking their place on the grid.

Russian driver Mikhail Simonov, French racers Jimmy Clairet and Raphael Fournier, and South Americans Camilo Trappa and Celso Neto are amongst the international drivers who will make the trip with the Asian drivers being led by Lo Sze Ho – who was runner-up in the Guia race in 2022 and returns with Evolve Racing.

Another former front-runner Sunny Wong will drive the sole Lynk & Co on the entry list, with a full team of Hondas coming from Hong Kong including TCR China podium finishers William Cheung Wang Chi and Frederick Lee Fu Kwan.

Marcus Cheong Man He is the only driver from Macau on the entry list in his MacPro Racing Team Honda, with Indonesia and Chinese Taipei represented by Benny Santoso and Andy Liang Wenyao – who both run in Hyundai Elantra N TCRs with Z.Speed Racing.

Free practice sessions on Thursday, 19th November will be followed by two qualifying sessions on the Friday, with the the first of two 10-lap races getting underway on the afternoon of Saturday, 21st November.

The main Guia Race is then scheduled for the Sunday morning.
