Second straight victory for Jamie Whincup in America

Jamie Whincup claimed his second victory of the day on American soil as the Red Bull Racing duo once again dominated the race with team mate Craig Lowndes in second.

Whincup headed the field from lights to flag, except for the during pitstops, just as in the first race. Lowndes tried hard at the start to get past his team mate, but had to slot in to second and finished a second behind in the end.

Fabian Coulthard repeated his third place from the first race, crossing the line 10 seconds from the leading duo.

Tekno Autosports drivers Jonathon Webb and Shane van Gisbergen claimed positions four and five, after a tough battle with Coulthard, ahead of the top Ford driver in the form of Mark Winterbottom in sixth.

Young Gary Rogers Motorport driver Scott McLaughlin finished seventh ahead of Nissan driver Rick Kelly, who looked set to repeat sixth from race one until he ran out of fuel on the final lap and dropped to eighth instead.

Will Davison and James Moffat rounded off the top ten.
