Adria to host TCR Italy season opener in revised calendar

Adria will host the first round of TCR Italy. The track, which will also host the TCR European Trophy later this year, is a new addition to a revised calendar.

Besides the addition of Adria, more changes include a new date for Imola, which switches from April, 30th, to September, 10th, while Mugello will be moved to July, 16th, from October, 8th. All other rounds are confirmed.

The changes were made in order to harmonise the TCR and TCS classes calendars, as both are part of the new structure of the Italian Touring Car Championship. TCS is meant to be a junior class for TCR, and is based on cars even closer to their road-going counterparts. The new SEAT León ST Cup, run by SEAT Motorsport Italia, will be run within the frame of the TCS championship.
