Canadian teenager inks PMA Motorsport deal

Nicolas Taylor will make his car racing debut in TCR Italy in 2024 after inking a deal with PMA Motorsport.

The 18-year-old Canadian racer will join the team – which ran Felice Jelmini to fifth in the standings this season – on the back of a successful career in karting, having won the Rok Cup Italia this year.

Taylor will be at the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS and admitted he couldn’t wait for the new season to come around.

“I’m over the moon while announcing my first step in car racing,” he said. “This commitment with PMA Motorsport opens a new chapter in my career and I can’t wait to know the car better. It will be a challenging year and very funny!”

Team manager Matteo Ansaloni said the team was pleased to give the youngster his chance.

“We are excited about this co-operation with Nic,” he said. “He has great potential, and we are delighted he chose us for his debut in touring Car competition.”
