Matteo Poloni confirms TCR Italy return

Matteo Poloni has confirmed that he will return to the TCR Italy field for a fifth successive season in 2024.

Poloni will continue to compete with his own Gearworks Racelab team at the wheel of an Audi RS 3 LMS, the same car he has raced since the middle of the 2022 campaign when he upgraded from a Gen-1 Audi.

Poloni scored a best finish of fifth in the series last season.

“Our goal for the new season is to be able to finalise the good work we have done so far that, for different reasons, has only been effective in qualifying,” he said.

“Of course, in 2023 I founded a brand-new team, and it has taken some time to get going, until eventually things went better in the final part of the season. Now we are ready and very motivated!”
