Carlo Alberto Bocca leads Audi 1-2-3 in Monza qualifying

BF Motorsportdriver Carlo Alberto Bocca led fellow Audi drivers Denis Babuin and Paolo Rocca to claim the pole position in TCR Italy qualifying at Monza.

The red flag came out after just 12 minutes when Honda driver Marco Pellegrini stopped at Turn 1, with the session restarted a few moments later.

Bocca set a fastest lap time of 1:55.259, two-tenths ahead of Babuin and 0.252 seconds over Rocca.

Hyundai driver Michele Imberti was three-tenths behind the pole-sitter to qualify in fourth place, followed by Matteo Poloni, also driving an Audi, just two-hundredths further behind.

Ramiro Zago was the fastest Honda driver in sixth position, albeit half-a-second off the pace, with Francesco Cardone (Audi) right behind.

Peter Cizek qualified in eighth position, ahead of fellow Cupra drivers Sandro Pelatti and Raffaele Gurrieri, 1.4 seconds behind Bocca.

The TCR Italy field returns to the track on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 CEST for Race 1.
