Pepe Oriola delighted with perfect car and perfect race

Pepe Oriola scored an important win in the first race in Buriram, Thailand. The Craft-Bamboo Lukoil driver led a team 1-2-3 and, more importantly, gained 15 points over title rival Stefano Comini, which means he is now eight points ahead of the Target Competition driver.

“The car was perfect,” said Oriola to TouringCarTimes. “I couldn’t have asked for more. We also scored a 1-2-3, which is great for the team as well.”

Talking about Race 2, the Spaniard has a clear goal: “Of course I need to finish ahead of Stefano (Comini). I want to get to Macau leading the championship and that is the best way to do this. It will not be easy, but the car is good and I will surely go for it.”
