Hyundai Elantra N EV TCR gets weight increase

The Hyundai Elantra N EV TCR has received a weight increase in the latest Balance of Performance bulletin issued by WSC, the TCR rights holder.

The model, which will be raced by BRC Racing in the FIA TCR World Tour season opener at Misano this weekend, will run 10kg heavier for a minimum racing weight of 1285kg.

The EV version of the Elantra N TCR was introduced last year following BRC Racing’s issues during the Mexico season opener.

The car features a larger turbo charger and a power level of 100% compared to 97,5% of the regular Elantra N TCR model.

Mikel Azcona and Norbert Michelisz will race the EV model in the FIA TCR World Tour while Gabriele Covini will race the regular Elantra N TCR model.
