Power reduction for the Hyundai Elantra N EV TCR

The Hyundai Elantra N EV TCR has received a power reduction in the latest bulletin from WSC, the TCR rights holder.

The Elantra N EV TCR model is so far only used by BRC Hyundai Squadra Corse in the FIA TCR World Tour with its drivers Mikel Azcona and Norbert Michelisz.

Hyundai introduced the model late last year, featuring a larger turbo charger and an increased power level set by WSC compared to its predecessor, going from 97,5% to 100%.

WSC has now changed the power level down to 97,5%, setting it on par with its predecessor, but still one level of power above the Geely Preface TCR which is set at 95%.

The changes will take effect for this weekend’s FIA TCR World Tour races at Zhejiang, China, where Azcona heads the standings ahead of title rival and Geely Cyan Racing driver Santiago Urrutia.
