Enrico Bettera takes final win of the year as Aku Pellinen crashes out

Enrico Bettera dominated the second race at Monza, Italy. The SEAT driver came home ahead of stable-mate Romy Dall’Antonia, with Andrea Bacci completing the podium in his TCT-class Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde.

The race was effectively decided at the start, when Top Run’s Luigi Ferrara misjudged his braking point and went in the inside grass of the first corner. The Subaru crashed into MM Motorsport’s Aku Pellinen, who had to stop his Honda Civic TCR on the spot. Ferrara returned to the pits but eventually decided to retire as well.

After the accident a safety car period was required, but nothing changed and Bettera completely dominated the race, finishing ahead of Romy Dall’Antonia and Andrea Bacci. Daniele Cappellari was fourth in his Team Bassano SEAT, finishing ahead of Alfa Romeo’s Andrea Mosca and Luigi Bamonte’s SEAT.

Mariano Costamagna finished seventh in his BRC Racing SEAT, ahead of the TCS trio of Alberto Passi, Gianpiero Wyhinny and Alberto Rodio. Roberto Colciago was once again forced back in the pits after electronic issues.
