Engine change for Frédéric Vervisch sends him to the back in Germany
Comtoyou Racing’s Frédéric Vervisch will start from the back of the grid at Oschersleben, after the team were forced to change the engine on the Belgian’s car after qualifying for the second race meeting in a row.
Vervisch was 16th fastest in qualifying in the team’s Audi RS 3 LMS, but with the engine change, he’ll relinquish his position on the grid for the first race, dropping to 23rd and last in the order.
For Race 2, Vervisch will resume his 16th position grid spot, two places ahead of team-mate Stefano Comini, with the two Audis struggling for pace at the German circuit.
