Maxime Potty hoping to start new chapter after positive home weekend

Home hero Maxime Potty was the only driver to score two podiums at Spa-Francorchamps in his Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. The Comtoyou driver insists this was the maximum he could achieve and he is happy with the results.

“I was at my maximum during the race,” said the Belgian to TouringCarTimes. “Anything could have happened. I’ve been involved in several fights, so all in all this was as much as I could do, but this leaves me happy.”

Potty admits there were perhaps too many incidents, but he did have fun being involved in several scraps.

“There were some useless accidents, to be honest I did lose some time, but after all I had fun during all those fights. I scored a lot of points, I will try to do my best as the season goes on, trying to maintain this level of performance even on other tracks, and then come what may.”
