TCR Europe entry confirmed for season opener

The entry for the opening rounds of the new TCR Europe season this weekend has been revealed, with 13 cars set to appear on track at Vallelunga.

Former champion Franco Girolami heads the entry at the where of one of five new CUPRA Leon VZ cars, with Viktor Davidovski and Eric Gené joining him at Monlau Motorsport.

SP Compétition runs the other two CUPRAs, having announced a programme for Aurélien Comte and Giovanni Scamardi earlier this week.

Alongside the quintet of CUPRAs will be no fewer than six new Honda Civic Type R FL5 models.

ALM Motorsport will field three for Ignacio Montenegro, Levente Losonczy and Ruben Volt, with the other three coming from the new GOAT Racing team – with Rubén Fernández, Felipe Fernández and Dušan Borković behind the wheel.

Baldan Group by Comtoyou field the sole second-generation Audi RS 3 LMS on the grid for three-time TCR Italy champion Nicola Baldan, while MA:GP will run a new Lynk & Co 03 for Viktor Andersson.
