Viktor Andersson confirms second TCR Europe season in new Lynk & Co

Viktor Andersson and team MA:GP will be back for their second TCR Europe season this year, racing a new for them Lynk & Co 03 TCR.

“Last year was my debut in international touring car racing and it really left me with a taste for more, we are definitely aiming higher this year,” said Viktor Andersson.

Andersson switched from single seaters to touring cars last year, finishing fifth overall in his debut TCR Europe season with a single podium finish in the Barcelona season finale as his best result.

“We have completed one test back home in Sweden with the new car and the feeling is excellent,” said Viktor Andersson.

“2023 was a learning year not only for me, but also for the team. We took some pretty big steps forward towards the end of the season and I can’t wait to put our learnings into action for 2024, hopefully hitting the ground running. My ambition is to break into the top three overall.”

The Swedish team has bought a new for them Lynk & Co 03 TCR from Geely Group Motorsport while the one they raced last year has been sold to TCR UK team Pro Alloys Racing.

Andersson becomes the seventh so far confirmed driver for the 2024 TCR Europe season which starts at Vallelunga on April 20-21, see more on our Grid Projections page.
