Rob Huff: “The accident was in no way intentional”
Rob Huff was stripped of his victory in the main Macau Guia race of the TCR China championship season finale following a high-speed incident with Ma Qing Hua.
“I don’t think there’s anything I could have done to avoid it – and the accident was in no way intentional – but I’m glad the driver’s OK,” said Huff.
The stewards however deemed the incident “avoidable” and handed the MG driver a 30-second penalty, dropping him from first to 23rd.
Yesterday’s qualifying race victory keeps Huff on ten qualifying and overall race wins at Macau and a total of five main Guia race wins.
“It’s been great to be here in Macau and claim my tenth race win around the Guia circuit yesterday, and achieve MG XPOWER’s goals of winning both the teams’ championship yesterday, and the models’ championship today,” said Huff.
