Michael Markussen joins TCR Europe grid at Spa-Francorchamps

Michael Markussen is going to join the TCR Europe grid at Spa-Franchorchamps this weekend in a Honda with RC2 Racing Team.

“I’m really looking forward to being on the grid in TCR Europe this year after a season with RC2 Racing Team in TCR Spain where I learned a lot from their huge experience,” said Markussen.

The Dane raced for the team in TCR Spain last year, finishing fifth overall, and finished fourth overall in the 2024 TCR Denmark season.

The plan for Markussen is to take part in selected TCR Europe races for the remainder of the year.

“We’re eager to enter the European TCR theater to test our speed against the most competitive field I have ever raced against,” said Markussen.

“It will be a huge learning curve for me, especially as we’re only doing selected races, and entering the series from the second race.

“Spa-Francorchamps is probably one of the most exciting tracks, and a big task for me to make my first TCR Europe race start there. I’m hugely excited for the upcoming weekend, to see my friends at RC2 again, and giving it my all.”

Markussen joins Felipe and Víctor Fernández and Victor Chan at RC2 Racing Team.
