Victor Weyrich stripped of Paul Ricard podium finish
Victor Weyrich has been stripped of his second-place finish in the first TCR Europe race of the weekend at Paul Ricard following a post-race penalty.
The Frenchman was deemed to have passed rival Cupra driver Viktor Andersson outside of the track limits for which the stewards have handed him a ten-second penalty.
This drops the Herrero Racing driver from second to fourth place in the final results, elevating Andersson to second place and Tiago Pernía to third.
ALM Motorsport driver Ruben Volt also received a penalty, albeit a five-second penalty, for overtaking outside the track limits.
The penalty drops the Honda driver from fourth to sixth place.
Santiago Concepción was also handed a five-second penalty, in this case for an incident with Gabriele Covini, dropping the Spanish driver from ninth place to eleventh.
