Weight reduction for Audi, Cupra, Honda and Hyundai
The Audi, Cupra, Honda and Hyundai models have all received a weight reduction in the unique FIA TCR World Tour Balance of Performance system ahead of the Valencia round this weekend.
The Audi RS 3 LMS of Vannin Motorsport, who will make their debut this weekend, has received a 10kg weight reduction to its original minimum racing weight for a total of 1245kg.
The Cupra León VZ TCR of SP Compétition and Monlau Motorsport will run 20kg lighter compared to the Misano season opener for a total of 1225kg.
The Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR of GOAT Racing, ALM Motorsport and RC2 Racing Team will also run 20kg lighter for a total of 1255kg.
The Hyundai Elantra N TCR of BRC Hyundai (Covini), JSB Compétition and Trico WRT will run 10kg lighter for 1255kg.
The Hyundai Elantra N EV TCR and Geely Preface TCR will keep the same BoP parametres as in the season opener.
The unique BoP FIA TCR World Tour system was introduced this year, calculated primarily on the performance of the cars in the series.
All other TCR championships (excluding endurance) around the globe runs according to one BoP system where the combined performance of the models in respective championships are calculated together.
