Joaquín Cafaro switches from Peugeot to Hyundai

Uruguay Racing Team driver Joaquín Cafaro is going to switch from Peugeot to Hyundai for the remaining part of the 2026 TCR South America season.

“I am absolutely delighted to start this new part of the season driving the Hyundai Elantra N,” said Cafaro.

“I thank the Uruguay Racing Team for the confidence and the huge work that they have done to make this new challenge possible.”

The Uruguayan driver is placed seventh overall so far this season and won the most recent race at Velocitta.

“The next races will be very important to get to know the car and to collect all the data we need with the aim of setting the way to follow in view of the 2027 season,” said Cafaro.
