BTCC title winners officially crowned at Brands Hatch

The British Touring Car Championship brought the curtain down on its 2026 season at Brands Hatch this weekend, crowning a host of champions in the process.

Ash Sutton led the celebrations at the Kent circuit as he was officially crowned Drivers’ champion for a record-breaking fifth time.

Having made motorsport history by wrapping up the title with a round to spare at Silverstone, the Ford Focus Titanium driver marked his coronation by sporting a special livery and charging to third in the finale.

Those results took Sutton’s tally for the season to an incredible nine wins and a total 21 podium finishes. It also ensured that he ended the campaign with a mammoth 127-point advantage over his nearest challenger.

Behind him, Tom Ingram closed out the year as vice-champion while Alliance Racing’s Dan Cammish clinched third place in the Drivers’ Championship ahead of Josh Cook and Adam Morgan.

NAPA Racing UK once again won the Teams’ Championship for a fifth successive season, with Alliance Racing/Ford reclaiming the Manufacturers’/Constructors’ crown.

The Independents Trophy went down to the wire with Mikey Doble bagging the Drivers’ Championship. The Audi A3 Saloon driver finished 39 points clear of team-mate Aiden Moffat having claimed a total of seven wins and eight further podium finishes in the category.

Doble’s and his team-mate Aiden Moffat’s respective seasons also played its part in helping LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing lift the Independent Teams’ title in commanding fashion.

Rounding out the list of champions was Dexter Patterson, who became the latest recipient of the Jack Sears Trophy – having largely dominated proceedings in his Power Maxed Racing Audi A3 Saloon.
