EXCELR8 extends title partnership deal with Vertu
EXCELR8 Motorsport has extended its partnership with automotive retailer Vertu, with the latter set to remain title sponsors of the British Touring Car Championship outfit through to the end of the 2029 season.
Vertu has been aligned with the Hyundai i30 N Fastback squad since 2021, enjoying title success with Tom Ingram in its second year.
Further celebrations came in 2025 as Ingram scooped a second Drivers’ title, while Team Vertu also claimed the Teams’ Championship and the Manufacturers’/Constructors’ Championship.
Next year will see EXCELR8 continue to field a four-car programme, with two-time champion Ingram and teenage talent Noah Young already confirmed. The remaining two drivers in the line-up will be confirmed in due course ahead of the campaign getting underway next April.
“We’re hugely proud of the strength of our relationship with Vertu, and to be able to confirm an extension to cover the next three seasons in the BTCC,” said Justina Williams, EXCELR8 Team Owner.
“Vertu has played a major role in the success we’ve enjoyed in recent years, helping us build a championship-winning programme that has delivered race victories, multiple titles and consistent on-track success.
“The security of knowing we can count on Vertu’s support through to at least the end of 2029 allows us to focus on long-term planning, and we’re looking forward to challenging for more titles alongside Vertu in the years to come.”
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, added: “Our partnership with EXCELR8 has delivered outstanding results both on and off the track, and has been a platform for building awareness of the Vertu brand whilst also allowing us to engage with audiences throughout the UK.
“Since first joining forces with the team, we have enjoyed championship success, significant increases in brand awareness and countless opportunities to showcase the strength of the Vertu brand to millions of motorsport followers.
“This partnership works so well because of the shared drive and desire to constantly improve in order to maintain the highest levels of performance and remain at the very top.
“Extending our commitment through to the end of 2029 will allow us to build on everything we have achieved together so far, and we look forward to challenging for more success in the seasons ahead.”
